First of all, if you're reading this, I want to say thanks for checking in with me. I truly appreciate it. I realize that I have been inconsistent in my blogging patterns since this summer, so I am very thankful that you are still reading.
When I started this blog, I had all kinds of ideas. I still do. But as with most moms, my plans far outstripped my available time. In the midst of living and doing life, I know that I have not been able to dedicate the time I wanted to writing for this blog. And sometimes, like today, I just have plain writer's block. I've just stared at the screen and nothing has come to mind.
But that doesn't mean that I'm closing up shop. I still believe God wants me to keep writing and teaching. Right now, as much of my posts are centering around adoption, I hope that they will encourage those who are adopting, those who have adopted, and those who are thinking of adopting. As new adoptive parents, I know that I do not have the scope or experience to write comprehensively, but I hope that the things that I share about our own journey will be an encouragement to you. Sometimes, the most important thing is knowing that you are not alone. Or that your messy life is not too strange and that at least one other person on this planet has been in your shoes.
My first priority right now is my family, but I will still keep writing. Over the next couple of months, over the holiday season, I will be posting at random. My prayer is to get back to writing series in the new year. Besides, I still owe you some photos from our trip!
Thanks again for all your support and prayers for our family. It is amazing and very humbling that there are people whom I have never met who are following our journey through this blog. My prayer is that in all that is shared here, the Lord is magnified and glorified, and that it will encourage you to go back into your own homes to love your spouse and children for His sake.
I'll be back! Stay tuned!
