What Do You Pray For? (Eph. 3:14-17a)

"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith..."--Ephesians 3:14-17a As parents, we pray for many things. Health. Strength. A good job. A godly spouse. Or just that he or she would survive to age five.

But what does Paul pray for? It is always fascinating to "listen in" on the apostle's prayers for his spiritual children.

More than anything else, he prays that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith. He knows that nothing else will even compare.

So what do you pray for? Will you join Paul in praying for those same things today for those you love?

For today: Spend a moment using Paul's prayer to shape your prayers for your spouse, your children, your parents, your siblings, your spiritual family. And then keep praying, over and over and over.
