Taking a Christmas Break!

Just a little note to say that I am going to be taking a blogging break for a couple of weeks as we prepare for the Christmas season. I am realizing that with little ones, I want to take advantage of the time we have to do all those fun things, read the stories, and enjoy making memories of the season. I am also realizing that this will be the last Christmas as a family--at least the way we know it--as my oldest may be away at school next year. (Sniff, sniff!)

And so we've been trimming the tree,

making new ornaments,

(Just in case you're wondering, links for the ornaments we made:

baking cookies,

and generally keeping very busy...

Not only that, I feel like I need to take a step back from the blog to rethink and plan for the upcoming year, most particularly refining the vision and purpose of this little spot on the web. Over time, it has slowly gotten away from what I had originally visioned for it, so it is time for me to think again of where God may want this to go.

And lastly, I just need some downtime. This has been a particularly hard season and I don't really think I can be upbeat and happy when there are a lot of things I need to work out in my own heart, mind, and life. The freedom to process requires time, and so I think I will need to take that time to do that.

And so, we wish you a merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year with your family and loved ones!

May the Lord bless you as you celebrate Him and one another.
