Schoolhouse Expo...Coming Next Week!

cropped-Expo-Header Last week, I shared about an opportunity for all you homeschool moms out there (or for those of you who are curious about homeschooling!). I just wanted to post again if you didn't get to see it!

Next week, starting on Monday, August 19, the Old Schoolhouse will be hosting the Schoolhouse Expo. It will run every day until Friday, August 23, from 10AM - 5 PM (Pacific)/1 PM-8 PM (Eastern). Thirty speakers are lined up for the event. Even though we have started school already, I am looking forward to catching the afternoon sessions. The great thing is that even though I won't be able to attend all the sessions, they will be recorded so I can listen to them later on.The schedule has been posted in advance so you can make some plans. I just printed out the PDF version of it--which lists all the speakers and topics by date and time in each of the four continental US time zones.

I plan to catch Kelly Freed's talk, "Go the Distance: Homeschooling Until the Tassel is Turned" on Tuesday afternoon, especially as Janna is entering her senior year and as Matthew is quickly approaching his high school years. Jessica Hulcy will be discussing "Multi-Level Teaching" on Wednesday afternoon, something that is particularly important to me this year as I will have four students at four different levels! Hal and Melanie Young will be speaking twice, but I am particularly intrigued by the title of their talk "Shining Armor." As a mom of boys, I know I can use all the perspective and help I can get! That will be on Thursday afternoon. Each day, Molly Green of Econobusters will be sharing for half an hour on frugal living, something I know I can use!

If you'd like to join in too, head on over to the registration page soon to get your ticket, which are $24. You will then receive an email with the call-in information. Spots are limited so if you're at all interested, I encourage you to secure your spot! Hope to see you there!

Disclaimer: This is a promotional post, with admission to the Expo as my reimbursement.
