Just for Fun Friday: Getting Ready for Easter!

This year, Easter comes early in April, which gives us a little over 3 weeks to prepare. Some of you may have already started by observing Lent a few weeks ago. (By the way, have you ever wondered how they figure out when Easter falls every year? I learned that the date is calculated by finding out when the first full moon after the spring or vernal equinox appears. Interestingly, this is also the date of the Passover. Easter is on the Sunday right after that. So, the spring equinox is March 20---Matthew's birthday!---and the first full moon after this date is April 6. Then Easter is celebrated on April 8, the Sunday right after. You can thank the folks at the Council of Nicea in A.D. 325 for this idea.)

Anyways, if you couldn't tell from all the bunnies, Easter baskets, and candy that are flooding the shelves, Easter is coming up soon. As I also need to start thinking about Easter, I created a pinboard on Pinterest if you'd like to follow along with my latest finds.
